Research Scholar/Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Research Scholar/Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – for PhD Admission in Materials Modelling
Applications are invited for admission to a 4-year PhD programme in the field of materials modelling.
The research will focus on the computational exploration of materials — including metals, alloys, or soft materials — using one or more methods such as microscopic computer simulations, statistical mechanics, and data-driven approaches like machine learning and deep learning.
Eligibility Criteria
- M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc or B.E./B.Tech in Physics, Materials Science, Physical Chemistry, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Admission is through an interview process.
- Candidates without a GATE/NET qualification must appear for an entrance test.
Required Skills
- Computational skills, including programming experience (e.g., Python, C/C++, etc.)
- Interests in applying advanced computational and statistical methods or statistical mechanics to materials science and engineering problems.
