Freight broker

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Freight Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the US freight market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and book freight loads from customers and shippers.
• Find and negotiate with reliable carriers to cover available loads.
• Negotiate rates with both customers and carriers to maximize margins.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, and transportation partners.
• Manage the complete freight brokerage process from load booking to successful delivery.
• Monitor shipments and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery.
• Handle rate confirmations, load details, and other required documentation.
• Use load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, and other freight platforms for load and carrier sourcing.
• Track market rates and stay updated with US freight market trends.
• Resolve shipment-related issues and provide timely solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of loads, carriers, customers, and transactions.
• Achieve individual and team targets while maintaining high service quality.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in US Freight Brokering / US Logistics.
• Strong understanding of the US transportation and freight industry.
• Experience with DAT, Truckstop, or similar load boards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong carrier sourcing and relationship-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple loads simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Target-oriented and motivated to achieve business goals.
• Comfortable working in the US shift.
