Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to assist customers, drive store sales, maintain product displays, and ensure an excellent in-store shopping experience. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, achieving sales targets, and maintaining store standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Customer Service \& Sales

• Welcome customers and assist them throughout their shopping experience.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
• Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and offers to customers.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales value.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and product-related concerns professionally.
• Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat purchases.

Store Operations

• Maintain product displays, shelves, and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure products are properly labelled and prices are displayed accurately.
• Monitor stock availability and inform the store manager about low inventory.
• Assist with stock receiving, inventory checks, and replenishment.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and product presentation.
• Follow store policies, billing procedures, and operational guidelines.

Billing \& Sales Reporting

• Assist with billing, payment processing, and order handling, as required.
• Ensure accurate transactions and proper handling of cash or digital payments.
• Maintain records of sales, returns, exchanges, and customer orders.
• Inform the manager about sales performance, customer feedback, and product demand.

Teamwork \& Store Performance

• Coordinate with team members to achieve store sales targets.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and new arrivals.
• Participate in product training and sales improvement activities.
• Follow company policies related to customer service, security, and loss prevention.

Qualifications \& Experience

• Minimum 12th pass; graduates preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in retail sales, customer service, or store operations.
• Freshers with good communication skills and a willingness to learn may apply.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
