Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, sales entries, purchase entries, reconciliations and financial records.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, sales accounting, GST-related accounting, bank reconciliation and accounting software.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting \& Bookkeeping

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Record and maintain sales, purchase, receipt and payment entries.
• Ensure accurate posting of journal entries and ledger transactions.
• Maintain and update general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for all accounting transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting of business transactions.

Sales \& Billing

• Handle daily sales entries and sales invoices.
• Verify sales invoices against supporting documents.
• Maintain customer ledgers and outstanding receivables.
• Track sales returns, credit notes and debit notes.
• Coordinate with the sales/operations team for invoice-related queries.
• Prepare sales-related MIS and reports when required.

Purchase \& Vendor Accounting

• Record purchase invoices and maintain vendor accounts.
• Verify purchase bills and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
• Track outstanding vendor payments and provide payment-related reports.

Bank \& Ledger Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliation.
• Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure books are properly updated and reconciled on a timely basis.

GST \& Compliance Support

• Assist with GST-related accounting and reconciliation.
• Ensure proper GST classification and documentation in accounting entries.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual statutory compliance activities.
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants as required.

MIS \& Reporting

• Prepare regular accounting and finance reports.
• Maintain receivables, payables and outstanding reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide accurate financial data and reports to management.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounting \& Bookkeeping.
• Strong hands-on experience in Sales Entry and Sales Accounting.
• Good knowledge of purchase, receipt, payment and journal entries.
• Strong experience in ledger and bank reconciliation.
• Knowledge of GST and basic statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally / Tally Prime or relevant accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates who have strong hands-on experience in daily bookkeeping, sales entries, invoicing, ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation and GST accounting will be preferred.
