Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced US Accountant with proven hands-on experience in US accounting and bookkeeping. The candidate will support US-based clients with day-to-day accounting operations, financial record maintenance, reconciliations, and reporting while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for US-based clients.
• Maintain accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger records.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing, financial statements, and management reports.
• Process invoices, expense records, journal entries, and transaction categorisation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Work with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Coordinate with clients to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing financial information.
• Support tax preparation documentation and compliance-related accounting tasks, as assigned.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• 1+ years of proven hands-on experience in US accounting and bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of US accounting practices, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Practical experience with QuickBooks Online; Xero experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of US accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle confidential financial information.
• Willingness to work night shifts aligned with US business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience supporting US-based businesses, CPA firms, or accounting service providers.
• Familiarity with US sales tax processes and payroll accounting is an advantage.
