Cath Lab Technician

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. in Cardiac Care Technology / Cardiovascular Technology / Cathlab Technology, or
• Diploma in Cathlab Technology / Cardiac Care Technology from a recognized institution.

Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a Cathlab preferred.
• Freshers may be considered depending on the hospital's requirements.
• Assist Cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, PTCA/PCI and other interventional procedures.
• Prepare the Cathlab, equipment, instruments and consumables before procedures.
• Operate and assist with Cathlab imaging and monitoring equipment as per hospital protocols.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and assist in maintaining strict aseptic/sterile conditions.
• Assist in patient preparation, positioning, monitoring and transfer before and after procedures.
• Monitor and record ECG, BP, SpO₂ and other vital parameters during procedures.
• Assist in handling emergency situations and maintain readiness of crash cart and emergency equipment.
• Ensure proper availability, checking and maintenance of Cathlab equipment and accessories.
• Maintain procedure records, inventory, consumable records and documentation.
• Follow radiation safety, infection-control and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, anaesthesia team and other clinical staff for smooth conduct of procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Cathlab In-Charge / Hospital Administration.
