About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and responsible Restaurant Manager to oversee the complete day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, billing, and overall restaurant operations. The candidate must ensure smooth functioning, maintain food quality and hygiene standards, control operational costs, and deliver an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities 1. Day-to-Day Restaurant Operations Manage the complete daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures. Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen staff, service staff, and management. Monitor food quality, portion sizes, presentation, and service standards. Ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction. 2. Inventory and Stock Management Maintain daily records of inventory, stock levels, and consumption. Monitor purchases, stock receipts, and material issuance. Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory checks. Minimize food wastage, pilferage, and unnecessary expenses. Coordinate with vendors for timely procurement and competitive pricing. Ensure proper storage, stock rotation (FIFO), and expiry-date monitoring. 3. Staff Management Supervise, train, and manage restaurant employees. Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and punctuality. Delegate responsibilities and ensure staff discipline. Maintain a productive and professional working environment. 4. Billing and Sales Management Handle billing, cash management, and daily sales reconciliation. Ensure accurate order entry and billing through POS software such as Petpooja. Monitor daily sales, expenses, and operational performance. Prepare daily sales and inventory reports for management. 5. Customer Service Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally. Maintain high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction. Monitor dine-in, takeaway, and online delivery orders, where applicable. 6. Hygiene and Compliance Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, storage spaces, and washrooms. Maintain food safety, personal hygiene, and sanitation standards. Ensure compliance with applicable food safety regulations and restaurant policies. Required Skills and QualificationsMinimum 2–5 years of experience in restaurant or food service management. Practical experience in inventory control, stock reconciliation, and procurement. Knowledge of restaurant billing/POS software, preferably Petpooja. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage staff, suppliers, customers, and daily operations independently. Basic knowledge of sales reporting, expense control, and food cost management. Honest, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Effective inventory control and reduction in food wastage.
