Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a solid background in inventory accounting, GST compliance, and trade receivables/payables. In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial operations across our footwear sourcing, manufacturing/assembly, wholesale distribution, and retail sales channels.

You will be responsible for keeping precise books, handling factory and vendor invoicing, tracking distributor credit limits, and ensuring full statutory tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Record daily financial transactions, voucher entries, bank reconciliations, and ledger postings in Tally Prime / Zoho Books / ERP.

Inventory & Stock Accounting: Track raw materials, upper/sole components, packaging materials, and finished footwear goods across factory floors and warehouses. Account for stock returns, damaged goods, and sample disbursements.

Vendor & OEM Payable Management: Verify, process, and reconcile supplier invoices (tanneries, component suppliers, OEM manufacturers, logistics partners) against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Challans (DCs).

Distributor & Retail Receivables: Issue GST invoices for wholesale, dealer, and MBO orders. Track credit cycles, follow up on overdue payment collections, and maintain accurate aging reports.

Statutory Compliance & Filing: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), handle TDS/TCS calculations and returns, and coordinate with external CAs for annual audits.

Payroll & Cash Expenses: Process staff payroll, compute sales team commission/incentive payouts, and audit/reconcile field sales travel allowances and local cash vouchers.

E-Commerce & Retail Reconciliation: Reconcile sales, returns, marketplace fees, and payouts from D2C platforms (Shopify) and e-commerce channels (Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit).

Key Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or M.Com / Inter-CA.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of core accounting experience, preferably in footwear, apparel, FMCG, or consumer goods manufacturing/wholesale.

Software Proficiency: Hands-on mastery of Tally Prime, MS Excel (Advanced: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and modern cloud accounting software (Zoho Books, Busy, or ERP systems).

Taxation Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GST rates, input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation, HSN codes for footwear categories, and TDS provisions.

Analytical Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to generate monthly P&L and cash flow summaries for leadership.

₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
