JOB OBJECTIVE
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Data Migration & ODI ETL Specialist to support the migration and rebuilding of an existing Oracle Data Warehouse environment. This is a rebuild of the target environment, not a conventional in-place upgrade.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oracle Database & Data Warehouse Migration
- Assess existing schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Identify dependencies across schemas, data marts, ETL workflows, and downstream reports.
- Develop and execute Oracle-to-Oracle migration scripts.
- Perform schema and data migration using Oracle Data Pump (EXPDP/IMPDP), SQL/PLSQL, and approved tools.
- Rebuild objects and verify compatibility with the target environment.
- Resolve migration failures, performance issues, and data integrity defects.
ODI ETL Migration & Reconfiguration
- Assess Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) mappings, packages, procedures, scenarios, and load plans.
- Migrate or rebuild ODI workflows and configure target connections.
- Reconnect Oracle EBS, ERP applications, and other enterprise data sources.
- Validate ETL transformations, business rules, dependencies, and scheduling.
- Troubleshoot ODI execution errors and optimize ETL performance.
Data Validation & Reconciliation
- Reconcile source and target schemas, tables, records, and control totals.
- Validate data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Develop SQL-based reconciliation and exception reporting scripts.
- Analyze discrepancies and document root causes and resolutions.
Migration Execution & Deployment
- Prepare migration runbooks, execution scripts, and rollback procedures.
- Support migration rehearsals, cutover, and post-migration validation.
- Coordinate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and OAS specialists.
- Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and stabilization.
