Job Purpose

To manage centralized procurement of machinery, equipment, spares, technical materials, and services across the group’s coal washeries, plants, power projects, mining, and infrastructure businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchase of machinery, plant equipment, spares, technical materials, and services.
• Understand technical specifications, evaluate equipment suitability, and coordinate technical assessments with plant and project teams.
• Manage vendor identification, techno-commercial evaluation, quotation comparisons, negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with Plant Heads, Project Heads, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement.
• Manage service procurement, vendor contracts, work orders, and purchase documentation.
• Ensure procurement compliance with company SOPs, budgets, and the Delegation of Authority (DOA).
• Prepare procurement MIS, cost-saving reports, and vendor performance reviews for management.

Qualifications \& Requirements

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technical procurement / commercial purchase, preferably in coal washeries, mining, power plants, or heavy industries.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial machinery, equipment, spares, and maintenance services.
• Excellent commercial negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.

Reporting \& Authority

• Reports to Management / Designated Senior Authority.
• Exercises centralized procurement coordination across all group companies.
• Purchase recommendations and vendor negotiations are within the assigned role; final approvals and financial commitments must follow the approved DOA.

Pay

₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
