Plant Supervisor

Job Summary: The Biomedical Waste Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a biomedical waste treatment facility. This includes supervision of plant staff, daily operations, safety compliance, equipment maintenance, and reporting as per regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Supervise daily operations of biomedical waste treatment and disposal processes. Ensure proper segregation, handling, transportation, and treatment of biomedical waste as per guidelines. Monitor autoclave, incinerator, shredders, and other treatment equipment for safe functioning. Maintain records of incoming waste, processing, and disposal. Staff Supervision & Training: Lead and supervise plant operators, loaders, and support staff. Conduct regular training on safety, handling, and emergency protocols. Ensure that workers use PPE and follow safety guidelines at all times. Compliance & Safety: Ensure operations are compliant with CPCB/SPCB and Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules. Maintain documentation for audits and inspections. Respond promptly to any violations or accidents, and implement corrective measures. Maintenance & Equipment: Coordinate routine and preventive maintenance of machinery and plant equipment. Report mechanical issues and assist in repairs or scheduling service.
