Maintenance Technician

Vikas Rubbers is looking for a skilled and responsible Mould Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect, clean, and repair moulds used in our rubber manufacturing production unit. The candidate should have practical mechanical skills and the ability to ensure moulds are maintained in good working condition for smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning, inspection, and preventive maintenance of production moulds.
• Remove rubber residue, deposits, and other contaminants from mould surfaces.
• Identify mould defects, wear, cracks, corrosion, and other damages.
• Carry out mould dismantling, fitting, reassembly, and minor repair work.
• Perform grinding, polishing, and other basic mould maintenance tasks as required.
• Ensure moulds are properly maintained and ready for production.
• Maintain mould maintenance records and servicing schedules.
• Coordinate with the Production and Maintenance teams to minimize production downtime.
• Follow safety procedures while handling moulds, tools, and equipment.

Eligibility Criteria

• ITI in Fitter, Tool \& Die Making, Machinist, or a related mechanical trade.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tool \& Die Making is an added advantage.
• 1–3 years of experience in mould maintenance, tool room operations, or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Experience in rubber mould maintenance or rubber manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and practical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and measuring instruments.
• Practical knowledge of mould cleaning, inspection, fitting, and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment.
