Deputy Manager – Accounts & Compliance

Role Overview

Qeni is looking for a Deputy Manager – Accounts to manage accounting operations, statutory filings and reconciliations. The candidate should have strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF and other applicable statutory compliances. Auditing experience is also valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, ledger scrutiny and month-end closing.
• Prepare and file GST returns, including reconciliations of books with GST returns and portal data.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, returns and reconciliations.
• Coordinate employee PF and other applicable payroll-related statutory filings.
• Maintain statutory records and ensure timely compliance with relevant regulations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor and customer ledgers, taxes and intercompany balances.
• Support preparation of financial statements, schedules and management reports.
• Coordinate internal and external audits; prepare documents and respond to audit queries.
• Track filing deadlines, payments and compliance requirements.
• Work with operations and other teams to resolve accounting and documentation issues.

Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, PF and statutory compliance.
• Experience preparing statutory filings and completing reconciliations.
• Good accounting knowledge and proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Auditing or audit coordination experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow-through.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work with multiple teams.
• Experience in travel, hospitality, events or another service industry is an advantage.

Pay

₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
