RESTAURANT CASHIER (KARUVATTA, ALAPPUZHA)

• Generate accurate customer bills using the restaurant's Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Verify orders, quantities, prices, applicable taxes, discounts, and service charges before finalising bills.
• Ensure all dine-in, takeaway, and other applicable sales are properly billed.
• Process bills promptly and accurately during peak operating hours.
• Issue printed or digital receipts to customers.
• Handle bill splitting, table transfers, order modifications, and reprints according to restaurant procedures.
• Ensure all completed orders are billed and no sales are missed or left unrecorded.
• Report POS system errors, billing discrepancies, and technical issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• eceive payments through cash, debit cards, credit cards, UPI, QR codes, and other approved payment methods.
• Verify payment confirmations before closing transactions.
• Count cash received and return the correct balance to customers.
• Maintain adequate change at the cash counter.
• Ensure cash is handled securely and kept in the designated cash drawer.
• Avoid mixing personal money with restaurant collections.
• Follow approved procedures for refunds, cancellations, and payment reversals.
• Report suspected counterfeit currency, payment fraud, or cash discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash and non-cash collections.
• Reconcile cash in hand with the POS cash sales report at the end of each shift.
• Verify card, UPI, and other digital payment totals against POS records and available payment confirmations.
• Prepare the daily cash handover statement and submit collections to the authorised manager or Accounts Department.
• Report any shortage, excess cash, duplicate payment, or billing discrepancy immediately.
• Ensure all cash handovers are counted, documented, and acknowledged by the receiving person.
• Maintain proper records of shift opening balances, cash withdrawals, petty cash transactions, and closing balances, where applicable.
