Staff Nurse, Emergency Department

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide immediate and efficient nursing care to patients in emergency and critical situations.
• Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and prioritization based on the severity of the condition.
• Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report any changes to the medical team.
• Assist doctors during emergency procedures, resuscitation, and trauma management.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain emergency equipment, crash carts, and necessary supplies in a ready-to-use condition.
• Assist in CPR and other life-saving interventions when required.
• Prepare and transfer patients safely for investigations, admission, surgery, or referral.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.Follow infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Work efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary emergency care team.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. Nursing
• Valid Kerala Nursing Council registration
• Experience in Emergency Department / Casualty
