Splicing Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Splicing Technician to handle fiber optic cable splicing, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for our FTTH/FTTx network. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable fiber connectivity, quality splicing, and timely restoration of network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic cable splicing for FTTH/FTTx network projects.
• Carry out single-core and multi-core fiber splicing, including 46F, 96F, and other fiber cable capacities.
• Handle fiber fusion splicing machines and related testing equipment.
• Perform fiber termination, joint closure installation, and cable jointing activities.
• Use OTDR and optical power meters to test fiber links and identify faults.
• Conduct fiber route inspection, fault identification, and restoration activities.
• Support OLT connectivity, distribution networks, and last-mile fiber installations.
• Coordinate with Field Network Engineers, Team Leaders, and Network Operations teams.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain proper records of splicing and testing activities.
• Ensure quality standards and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in fiber optic cable splicing and FTTH/FTTx networks.
• Knowledge of fusion splicing, fiber termination, and joint closure handling.
• Familiarity with OTDR, optical power meters, and fiber testing tools.
• Understanding of fiber cable identification, routing, and fault troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in outdoor field conditions and travel to assigned sites.

Educational Qualification

• ITI, Diploma, or relevant technical qualification preferred.
• Candidates with practical fiber splicing experience will be preferred.

Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Candidates with experience in telecom, ISP, cable TV, or FTTH projects are encouraged to apply.

Pay

₹18,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
