Melting Supervisor

• Supervise daily furnace and melting operations as per the production plan.
• Ensure correct charging of raw materials, scrap, ingots, and alloys according to specifications.
• Monitor furnace temperature, holding temperature, and pouring parameters.
• Ensure proper metal treatment, including degassing, fluxing, and alloy addition.
• Coordinate with die-casting, quality, maintenance, and stores departments for smooth production.
• Monitor metal recovery, melting losses, and furnace efficiency.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, crucibles, fluxes, and other consumables.
• Conduct first-pour verification and ensure molten metal meets quality standards.
• Maintain melting records, furnace logs, temperature records, and production reports.
• Identify process abnormalities and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise furnace operators and helpers and ensure proper shift handover.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and report furnace breakdowns immediately.
• Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Implement 5S and continuous improvement initiatives in the melting area.
