Infection Control Nurse

• Surveillance \& Data Analysis: Collect, tabulate, and analyze daily hospital-acquired infection data (such as catheter-associated or surgical site infections) alongside microbiologists and quality teams. \[1, 2, 3]
• Policy \& Protocol Development: Create and update infection prevention guidelines based on standards from health authorities like the CDC and WHO. \[1, 2]
• Outbreak Investigation: Lead or assist in investigating infection clusters, tracing sources, and implementing containment measures. \[1, 2, 3]
• Clinical Rounds \& Compliance: Conduct regular unit rounds to monitor hand hygiene, isolation procedures, central line care, equipment disinfection, and safe handling of sharp/needle-stick injuries. \[1, 2, 3]
• Staff \& Patient Education: Plan and deliver training programs for clinical staff, physicians, and families regarding aseptic techniques and disease
