Logistics Manager – Job Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end logistics and transportation operations for raw materials, finished goods, and other materials.

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, and Finance teams for smooth material movement.

• Manage and monitor transportation vendors, fleet operators, and logistics service providers.

• Negotiate freight rates and ensure optimum utilization of transportation resources.

• Prepare daily/weekly logistics plans based on production schedules and customer delivery requirements.

• Monitor vehicle placement, dispatches, delivery schedules, and shipment status.

• Ensure proper documentation including e-way bills, invoices, delivery challans, LR/GR, PODs, and other transport documents.

• Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, shortages, and delivery-related issues.

• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

• Ensure compliance with applicable transportation, safety, and statutory requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of transportation, dispatches, freight costs, and delivery performance.

• Monitor OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance and take corrective actions where required.

• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper loading, unloading, packaging, and material handling.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with transporters and logistics partners.

• Prepare MIS and regular reports related to dispatch, freight cost, vehicle utilization, delivery status, and logistics performance.

• Lead and supervise the logistics team and ensure adherence to company SOPs and operational standards.

• Implement systems and processes to improve efficiency, turnaround time, inventory movement, and customer satisfaction.

Pay

₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
