Role and responsibilities

An MLT's daily tasks vary based on their specialization and work setting. Common responsibilities include

• Collecting, labeling, and handling patient samples (e.g., blood, tissue, urine).
• Performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results using lab equipment.
• Conducting quality control measures to ensure test accuracy.
• Managing lab equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols.
• Recording and managing patient data.
