CNC Laser TECHNICIAN

Machine Setup: Load raw material sheets, select correct lenses/nozzles, and adjust laser parameters (power, speed, focus) based on material type and thickness.

Operation

Run and monitor CNC fiber or CO₂ laser cutting machines to ensure smooth production flow.

Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify accuracy against specifications.

Skills

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with CAD/CAM software or G-code programming.

Parameter Optimization: Determine, test, and program the exact laser power, cutting speed, frequency, duty cycle, gas type (Oxygen/Nitrogen/Air), and pressure required for different materials and thicknesses.

Machine Calibration

Calibrate focal points, nozzle alignment, and beam paths to maintain precise cutting tolerances.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve cutting defects.
