About the Role

We are looking for a Production Engineer to manage and improve day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring timely production, quality standards, efficient manpower utilization, and adherence to safety and process requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities as per production schedules.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and resources.
• Monitor shop-floor operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Coordinate with Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, and Engineering teams for smooth production.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and process requirements.
• Monitor production processes and identify bottlenecks, delays, and process deviations.
• Ensure products are manufactured as per defined quality standards and specifications.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain production records, reports, and relevant documentation.
• Monitor machine availability, downtime, rejection, rework, and productivity.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for production and quality issues.
• Ensure proper handling and availability of tools, fixtures, gauges, and production materials.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and company policies on the shop floor.
• Train and guide operators/workmen on processes, quality requirements, and safe working practices.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in hydraulics, engineering components, industrial machinery, or manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
• Strong hands-on approach with the ability to manage shop-floor activities independently.
• Willingness to work closely with operators and cross-functional teams.
• Result-oriented, disciplined, and committed to achieving production goals.
• Understanding of machining, assembly, fabrication, or hydraulic component manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of production planning, process control, and shop-floor management.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and RCA will be preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP/MRP systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.

Pay

₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
