Junior Quality Control & CAD/CAM Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented, multi-skilled Junior Quality Control \& CAD/CAM Technician to join our technical team. In this role, you will bridge quality inspection, engineering design, and CNC/VMC machining workflows. You will be responsible for component inspection using precision measuring instruments, creating 2D/3D technical drawings, and assisting with or developing basic CNC/VMC.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished machined parts.
• Expertly operate standard mechanical measuring tools, including: Vernier Calipers (Analog/Digital),Micrometers, Height Gauges \& Surface Plates, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges.
• Compare measured part dimensions against engineering drawings and tolerance specifications .
• Prepare First Piece Inspection Reports (FPIR), In-Process Inspection Logs, and Final Inspection Reports.
• Identify non-conforming parts and assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and modify 2D technical manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain 3D component models and assembly models using SolidWorks.
• Convert physical sample parts or basic hand sketches into accurate CAD models and detailed drawings.
• Maintain organized CAD file archives, revision history, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Generate and verify basic G-code and M-code programs for CNC Lathes and VMC (Vertical Machining Centers).
• Assist machinists in setting up machine coordinates, tool offsets, and fixture alignments based on CAD models and drawings.
• Coordinate with the production team to optimize toolpaths, reduce cycle times, and minimize tool wear.

Required Qualifications \& SkillsEducation \& Experience

• Education: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Draughtsman (Mechanical), Tool \& Die, or a related trade.
• Experience: 0–1 Year in a manufacturing machine shop, quality lab, or engineering department. Freshers with solid practical training are welcome.
