Job Description: Commis I – Continental Section

We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and passionate Commis I Chef for our Continental Kitchen Section. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Western cuisine, food preparation techniques, kitchen hygiene, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook Continental dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain mise en place and ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Follow HACCP guidelines, food safety regulations, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the workstation.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Continental kitchen is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Western cuisine, cooking methods, sauces, and food presentation.
• Good communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• A professional attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for culinary excellence.
