Purchase Officer

We are looking for a dynamic Purchase Executive who is not only an expert in Purchase Order creation and procurement but also possesses strong market awareness and marketing knowledge to identify the best vendors, trends, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase \& PO Management

• Create, verify and process Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders, and Amendments in ERP / Tally.
• Ensure accuracy in PO terms - rate, quantity, delivery, taxes, and payment terms.
• Regular follow-up with suppliers for on-time delivery and GRN closure with store.
• Maintain PO register, vendor ledger, and purchase records.

Marketing \& Market Knowledge

• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, new products, and better price trends.
• Analyze market rates, competitor pricing, and industry trends for cost optimization.
• Understand product marketing, vendor promotion schemes, and negotiate best deals
• Support marketing team for purchase of promotional materials, branding items, and event-related procurement if required
• Develop vendors through effective networking and market intelligence

Required Skills

• Must have: Strong experience in PO Making / Purchase Order Processing
• Must have: Good Market Knowledge - vendor sourcing, rate analysis, negotiation
• Knowledge of Tally / ERP / MS Excel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and email handling skills
• Ability to understand market dynamics and apply marketing concepts in purchasing
