Job Description: Raw Material Store Incharge – FMCG

Department: Store

Designation: Raw Material Store Incharge

Location – Village- Ladhowal, Ludhiana.

A. Raw Material Receipt

• Receive raw materials against approved purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Verify material quantity, item codes, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and supplier details.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department for inspection and approval of incoming materials.
• Ensure proper documentation of material receipts in Rancelab/software and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
• Segregate rejected, damaged, expired, and quality-hold materials.

B. Storage and Material Handling

• Ensure proper storage of raw materials according to product specifications and storage conditions.
• Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out), wherever applicable.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, batch traceability, and location mapping of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, pest-control standards, and good housekeeping in the store.
• Follow safety procedures for material handling and storage.

C. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records for all raw materials.
• Monitor minimum stock levels, maximum stock levels, reorder levels, and slow-moving or non-moving inventory.
• Conduct daily stock monitoring and periodic physical stock verification.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Prevent stockouts, overstocking, material expiry, damage, and wastage.

D. Material Issuance to Production

• Issue raw materials to production strictly against approved material requisitions or production orders.
• Ensure correct material, quantity, batch number, and specification before issuance.
• Maintain batch-wise material issue records and ensure complete traceability.
• Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Monitor material returns from production and update stock records accordingly.
