CTVS/ CCU Staff nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Operative \& Critical Care Management
• Provide continuous monitoring and clinical assessment of patients recovering from open-heart surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and vascular operations.
• Monitor and interpret advanced hemodynamic parameters (invasive arterial lines, central venous pressure \[CVP], pulmonary artery pressures, ECG rhythms).
• Manage mechanical ventilation settings, extubation support, airway suctioning, and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
• Cardiac Devices \& Equipment Operations
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot specialized life-support equipment including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), temporary/permanent pacemakers, defibrillators, and multi-parameter monitors.
• Care for chest drainage systems, surgical wound dressings, central and peripheral venous lines, and urinary catheters.
• Medication Administration \& Emergency Response
• Administer high-alert continuous infusions (inotropes, vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and analgesics) strictly per physician protocols.
• Recognize early signs of clinical deterioration (cardiac tamponade, acute arrhythmias, severe hypotension, hemorrhage, or sepsis) and initiate emergency CPR/ALS protocols immediately
• Patient Hygiene, Positioning \& Safety
• Perform routine bedside care (turning every 2 hours, pressure ulcer prevention, oral and eye care).
• Ensure strict adherence to hospital infection control, sterile technique, and NABH/JCI quality standards. \[1, 2, 3, 4]
• Documentation \& Communication
• Maintain accurate, real-time ICU charts (TPR, fluid intake/output, ventilator sheets, and medication records).
• Communicate patient status effectively during shift handovers and counsel family members with empathy and clarity

Pay

₹8,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
