Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern who is eager to learn, solve problems, and contribute to real-world applications. You will work with experienced developers, gradually take ownership of development tasks, and gain exposure to software engineering, system design, cloud technologies, AI, and automation.

We value strong fundamentals, adaptability, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn over expertise in every technology.

What You'll Work On

• Develop and maintain frontend applications, backend services, and REST APIs.
• Work with NestJS, Python, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Integrate APIs, databases, and external services.
• Understand and contribute to software design, system architecture, and application structure.
• Debug issues, write maintainable code, and participate in testing and code reviews.
• Work with Git, Docker, terminals, and application deployment workflows.
• Explore AI-assisted development, basic automation, and opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into applications.
• Collaborate with developers on technical documentation and continuous improvement.

Technical Skills

Core Requirements

• Strong programming fundamentals and logical problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Understanding of web applications, client-server architecture, REST APIs, and databases.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic terminal commands, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to debug issues, research solutions, and communicate clearly.
• Interest in learning modern software development tools and practices.

Backend, Frontend and Databases

• Backend: NestJS, Node.js, or Python.
• Frontend: Next.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Databases: PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• APIs: REST API design, authentication, validation, and error handling.

Software Design and System Architecture

• Understanding of modular design, separation of concerns, and clean code.
• Basic knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Awareness of monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Understanding of database design, component communication, scalability, caching, and application reliability.
• Familiarity with architecture diagrams, system design fundamentals, and technical documentation.

Cloud, DevOps and Automation

• Basic knowledge of AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, and deployment fundamentals.
• Awareness of CI/CD, automated testing, application security, and monitoring.
• Interest in scripting, workflow automation, and reducing repetitive development tasks.

AI, Generative AI and LLMs

• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Generative AI concepts.
• Awareness of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
• Interest in integrating AI APIs into applications and building AI-powered features.
• Basic awareness of prompt engineering, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or AI agents is an advantage.
• Understanding that AI-generated outputs require verification, testing, and responsible use.

Candidates are not expected to know every technology listed above. Strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are more important than prior professional experience.

Who Can Apply?

• Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Freshers with no prior professional experience.
• Candidates with academic projects, personal projects, or GitHub repositories are encouraged to apply.
• Applicants must have their own laptop.
• Good communication skills in English and Malayalam are preferred.

Internship Details

• Duration: 6 months.

• Working hours: Full-time.
• Stipend: A modest, performance-based stipend, determined through evaluation and communicated during the selection process.
• Full-time conversion: Candidates may be considered for full-time employment following the internship, based on overall performance, technical growth, and company requirements.

Full-time employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the internship.
