ELECTRICIAN – IT/AV Projects

Professional Summary We are looking for a skilled Electrician to support electrical installation and power-related work for commercial Audio-Visual (AV) and IT infrastructure projects. The candidate should have practical experience in electrical wiring, power distribution, earthing, cable routing, and electrical troubleshooting. The role involves working with project engineers and AV technicians to ensure safe and reliable power connections for conference rooms, meeting rooms, auditoriums, and other commercial installations. Key Responsibilities • Perform electrical wiring, installation, and power connection work for commercial AV and IT projects. • Install power sockets, electrical outlets, distribution boards, MCBs, and related electrical components. • Provide safe power connections for AV racks, displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, and other installed systems. • Handle cable routing, cable dressing, and coordination of power cables with AV and data cabling teams. • Assist in the installation of AV racks, conference room systems, and related infrastructure by providing required electrical support. • Check earthing, power supply, and electrical connections to ensure safe equipment operation. • Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults, power interruptions, and wiring issues. • Read basic electrical drawings and follow project installation layouts. • Coordinate with AV technicians, project engineers, and site supervisors during installation and commissioning. • Conduct electrical testing and inspections before system handover. • Follow electrical safety procedures and use appropriate tools and protective equipment. • Travel to client sites for project installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as required.
