Job Description

Mahatta Group is looking for a proactive, technology-oriented Finance & Automation Executive with strong accounting fundamentals and an interest in AI, automation, and modern finance systems.

The candidate will handle day-to-day accounting and financial activities while helping improve processes through Excel, AI tools, automation, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day accounting activities and support month-end closing.

Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, payment schedules, and reconciliations.

Monitor customer outstanding, ageing, and collection follow-ups.

Perform bank, customer, vendor, ledger, and GST reconciliations.

Support revenue, cost, gross profit, and budget vs. actual analysis.

Assist with inventory reconciliation, stock verification, and production costing.

Prepare financial MIS reports and support cash-flow analysis.

Support GST/TDS verification and statutory compliance activities.

Identify repetitive finance tasks and suggest process improvements using AI and automation tools.

Assist in testing automated workflows and improving finance processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong accounting fundamentals and good working knowledge of Excel.

Preference for candidates with hands-on experience in Zoho Books.

Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and financial reconciliations.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Interest in AI tools, automation, and modern finance systems.

Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take ownership of tasks.

Preferred Skills

Practical experience with Zoho Books.

Knowledge of Power BI or Power Query.

Exposure to manufacturing accounting or inventory management.

Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot.

Basic awareness of workflow automation or APIs.
