Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-friendly, energetic, and sales-oriented Retail Sales Assistant to support daily store operations, assist customers, promote products, and achieve sales targets. The candidate should have good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to deliver an excellent shopping experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Welcome customers and understand their needs and preferences.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable products.
• Provide accurate information about product features, pricing, and availability.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.

Sales and Target Achievement

• Promote products and convert customer enquiries into sales.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Apply upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
• Inform customers about offers, discounts, and new arrivals.

Store Operations

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the store.
• Arrange products and maintain attractive displays.
• Ensure products are properly labelled and priced.
• Support billing, packaging, and payment processing when required.

Inventory Management

• Check stock availability and report low-stock items.
• Assist with stock replenishment and product arrangement.
• Support physical stock counts and inventory audits.
• Report damaged, missing, or defective products to the Store Manager.

Teamwork and Reporting

• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Follow company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain customer feedback and sales-related records as required.
• Report daily activities and customer feedback to the Store Manager.

• Basic computer knowledge and POS billing familiarity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum qualification: 12th pass; graduation preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may apply.
• Experience in retail stores, lifestyle brands, fashion, jewellery, or gifting is an advantage.
