Electrical Purchase Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Sourcing & Commercial Support Location: Science City, Ahmedabad Experience: 2–5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are looking for a proactive Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in sourcing electrical materials. The role also requires basic commercial knowledge to support supplier negotiations, cost evaluations, and procurement activities. This position will work closely with suppliers, project teams, and logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing. Key Responsibilities: • Source and technically evaluate electrical materials such as cables, switchgear, panels, transformers, motors, and related equipment • Review technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets to ensure compliance with project requirements • Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with local and international suppliers • Obtain and compare technical and commercial quotations • Support commercial discussions including pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, and delivery schedules • Coordinate inspections, quality documentation, and supplier deliverables • Assist project and procurement teams with technical clarifications and cost analysis • Ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and components • Experience or exposure to sourcing, procurement, or vendor coordination • Basic commercial understanding (pricing, contracts, Incoterms, payment terms) • Good communication and coordination skills • Ability to work with multiple suppliers and stakeholders. Preferred Experience: • Experience in industrial, infrastructure, mining, power, or EPC projects • Exposure to inspections, logistics coordination, and quality documentation • Experience working with international suppliers
