Gen AI Engineer (Microsoft Foundry)

Bargad.ai is an advanced AI and Machine Learning (ML) based solution designed to detect and prevent identity fraud. It is a smart and flexible platform built for industries including Banking & Financial Services (BFSI), Social Media, Gaming, and E-Commerce.

We are looking for an Generative AI Engineer with a strong understanding of AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), Small Language Models (SLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), fine-tuning, and AI agents, with a particular focus on Microsoft Foundry.

Both freshers with strong fundamentals and experienced candidates with hands-on project experience are welcome to apply. The role and responsibilities will be aligned with the candidate's skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Generative AI applications using LLMs and SLMs.

Work with Microsoft Foundry to explore, configure, build, test, and deploy AI applications and agents.

Design and implement RAG pipelines, including document processing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and response generation.

Build AI agents using standard frameworks and Microsoft Foundry.

Develop agents capable of using tools, calling APIs, retrieving information, and executing defined workflows.

Work on model selection, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation.

Apply ML, Deep Learning (DL), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to real-world problems.

Develop AI-powered chatbots, knowledge assistants, and intelligent automation solutions.

Integrate AI models and agents with backend APIs, databases, and existing applications.

Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, relevance, governance, and performance.

Debug, optimize, and improve AI applications for reliability and scalability.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to convert business requirements into AI solutions.

Support application deployment, testing, documentation, and production improvements.

Requirements

Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and SLMs.

Good knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP concepts.

Detailed understanding of Microsoft Foundry, including its models, development environment, and agent-building capabilities.

Strong understanding of RAG architecture and end-to-end RAG pipeline implementation.

Knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and information retrieval.

Understanding of model fine-tuning, datasets, training approaches, and evaluation techniques.

Ability to create AI agents using standard frameworks and Microsoft Foundry.

Good knowledge of Python and REST API integration.

Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and model limitations.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Ability to learn new technologies and work independently on assigned tasks.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Good to know

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Foundry projects, model deployments, and agent development.

Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.

Experience with multi-agent systems, tool calling, and workflow orchestration.

Familiarity with Azure AI Search, vector databases, and document-processing pipelines.

Experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Git/GitHub, and Docker.

Knowledge of AI application deployment, monitoring, security, and responsible AI practices.

Experience building enterprise AI solutions or BFSI applications is an advantage.
