Traffic Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Traffic Manager to manage transportation operations across Gujarat and Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in traffic management, vehicle deployment, route planning, operational coordination, cost optimization, and MIS reporting to ensure smooth and timely transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Operations
- Oversee daily traffic and transportation activities across Gujarat and Mumbai.
- Vehicle Placement
- Plan and ensure timely placement, allocation, and deployment of vehicles as per business requirements.
- Operations Planning
- Develop transportation schedules and coordinate vehicle movements to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Route Optimization
- Identify efficient routes to reduce transit time, fuel consumption, and transportation costs.
- Tracking & Monitoring
- Monitor vehicle movements, shipment status, delivery schedules, and operational performance.
- Team Management
- Supervise traffic coordinators, drivers, and operational staff to ensure smooth execution.
- Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters, fleet owners, and vendors for vehicle availability and service quality.
- Cost Control
- Monitor transportation expenses, freight rates, vehicle utilization, and operational costs.
- MIS Reporting
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to vehicle placement, deliveries, costs, and performance.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Problem Resolution
- Handle vehicle breakdowns, dispatch delays, route deviations, and other operational challenges.
- Performance Improvement
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall productivity.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in traffic and transportation management.
Strong experience handling transportation operations across Gujarat and Mumbai.
Excellent knowledge of vehicle placement, fleet management, route planning, and dispatch operations.
Proven ability to manage teams, transporters, and vendors.
Strong understanding of cost control, tracking systems, and MIS reporting.
Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple operational activities and meet tight deadlines.
