Purpose
To aggressively drive sales of vending machines and consumables across Chennai by
leading from the front, managing the funnel from leads to closure, and ensuring
monthly/quarterly sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Own the P&L responsibility for machine sales & consumables in Chennai
- Build & maintain a robust sales pipeline — from lead allocation to closure.
- Set aggressive targets, monitor progress weekly, and course-correct real time.
Funnel & Closure Management
- Drive conversion of marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) into closed deals.
- Conduct high-stakes negotiations with HoReCa, corporates, institutions, and retail
buyers.
- Ensure machine installation + consumables contract sign-ups go hand in hand.
Team & Reporting
- Coordinate with Sales cordinator, Marketing, and After-Sales to ensure seamless
customer onboarding.
- Report to senior leadership with weekly dashboards (machines installed, pipeline
status, revenue booked, consumables off-take).
- Mentor field staff in driving urgency and discipline in closures.
Consumables Growth
- Ensure monthly repeat revenue from consumables grows per installed base.
- Track consumption patterns and identify upsell opportunities.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- No of machines installed (per month / quarter).
- Revenue from machine sales + consumables.
- % lead-to-deal conversion ratio.
- Average time-to-close per lead.
- Growth in consumables sales per machine (stickiness).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years’ experience in high-pressure sales environments (HORECA, FMCG,
Food&Beverages).
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in past roles.
- Obsessive about numbers: lives for dashboards, targets, and closures.
- Aggressive negotiator + street-smart hustler + relationship builder.
- Comfortable handling both B2B (corporates, hotels, restaurants) and B2C
activation-driven closures.
