Chartered Accountant – Product Research & Functional QA

Job Summary

HisabKitab is looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong practical experience in accounting and taxation software to work closely with our Product \& Development team. The role will focus on technical research, product improvement, competitor software analysis and functional QA from an accounting and taxation perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Research accounting, GST, TDS, inventory and taxation requirements for new product features.

Explore and evaluate other accounting and taxation software to identify useful features and industry best practices.

Suggest new features and improvements for HisabKitab based on practical accounting requirements.

Perform functional QA/testing of accounting, GST, taxation, inventory and reporting features before release.

Verify accounting entries, calculations, reports and compliance logic for accuracy.

Identify functional gaps, edge cases and incorrect accounting/tax treatments.

Work closely with the Product, Development and QA teams to explain accounting and taxation requirements.

Stay updated with changes in GST, TDS, Income Tax and other relevant regulations.

Requirements

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Strong practical knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS, taxation and inventory.

Hands-on experience with accounting/taxation software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, Marg or similar platforms.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Ability to test software from an accountant’s and business user's perspective.

Interest in technology, SaaS and product development.

Education

• Master's (Preferred)

Experience

• Chartered Accountant : 3 years (Required)
