Purchase Engineer

Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for engineering materials, components, and spare parts.

Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requirements.

Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate rates, and finalize commercial terms with suppliers.

Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Quality, and Engineering teams to understand material requirements.

Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with vendors for pending orders.

Maintain vendor databases, purchase records, quotation comparisons, and procurement documentation.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Stores team to avoid material shortages.

Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.

Resolve issues related to material quality, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and approval procedures.
