Job Purpose

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of hospital infrastructure, utilities, and engineering systems through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and breakdown management.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, and other building systems.
• Attend maintenance complaints and emergency breakdowns promptly.
• Monitor critical utilities, including DG sets, UPS, water supply, and medical gas systems within the authorized scope.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.
• Follow hospital safety procedures, PPE requirements, and infection control protocols.
• Coordinate with clinical departments and external service providers.
• Report equipment failures, safety hazards, and major repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and shift handover records.

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a relevant technical trade.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience; hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.

Safety Requirements

• Follow permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
• Use appropriate PPE and comply with hospital infection control requirements.
• Perform only authorized work within the limits of training and competence.
• Immediately report critical utility failures and safety hazards.

Performance Evaluation

Performance will be assessed based on technical skills, preventive maintenance completion, complaint response, safety compliance, documentation, and teamwork.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
