Job Description

Fortune Spaces is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented accountant with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in GST registration, GST return filing, and monthly GST compliance. The candidate should be capable of independently handling GST-related activities, accounting records, and statutory compliance within the prescribed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle GST registration, amendments, and cancellation procedures.
• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, as applicable.
• Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records and maintain input tax credit (ITC) records.
• Verify sales invoices, purchase invoices, expenses, and supporting documents.
• Maintain books of accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, payment records, and outstanding receivables/payables statements.
• Ensure timely GST compliance and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with TDS, income tax documentation, and other statutory compliance as required.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and tax professionals regarding accounting and taxation matters.

Required Qualifications \& Skills

• B.Com or equivalent qualification in accounting/finance preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in GST registration and monthly GST return filing is mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of the GST portal and GST compliance procedures.
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, invoice verification, and reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently and meet statutory deadlines.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
