Staff Nurse (NICU)

Qualification

• GNM/B.Sc/Post B.Sc Nursing
• Kerala Nursing Council Registration is mandatory
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience preferred

Skills

• Strong knowledge of neonatal nursing care and equipment handling
• Teamwork and coordination with doctors and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to recognize early signs of neonatal distress and respond promptly in emergencies
• Time management
• Emergency response readiness
• Team coordination

Responsibilities

• Monitor neonatal vitals and condition
• Handle NICU equipment safely
• Ensure comfort, positioning, and developmental care of neonates
• Assist doctors during procedures, rounds, and emergency interventions
• Follow hospital policies and safety protocols
• Maintain documentation and handover
• Neonatal resuscitation and emergency care
