Job Summary

We are looking for passionate and experienced Baristas and Senior Baristas to join our team at Beanlore Café in Bengaluru. Candidates must have prior experience working in a café and hands-on knowledge of coffee preparation.

The ideal candidates should be skilled in preparing quality coffee beverages, operating espresso machines, maintaining consistency in beverage preparation, and delivering excellent customer service. Senior Barista candidates should additionally possess leadership skills and the ability to guide junior team members while ensuring smooth daily café operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, and other specialty coffee drinks.

Operate commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders efficiently.

Demonstrate good knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, frothing, and basic latte art.

Maintain consistency in coffee taste, quality, temperature, and presentation.

Follow standard beverage recipes and preparation procedures.

Interact with customers professionally and provide recommendations based on their preferences.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the coffee counter and equipment.

Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other beverage ingredients.

Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage.

Handle customer orders and billing through the POS system.

Ensure compliance with café hygiene, food safety, and service standards.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth café operations.

Additional Responsibilities – Senior Barista

Lead daily coffee bar operations and ensure efficient workflow during service hours.

Train, guide, and mentor junior baristas in coffee preparation and beverage presentation.

Monitor coffee quality and ensure adherence to Beanlore Café's beverage standards.

Assist the Café Manager in inventory management, stock control, and daily operational reporting.

Handle customer feedback and resolve beverage-related concerns professionally.

Support the team in maintaining service standards during busy periods.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience working as a Barista or in a café environment is mandatory.

Hands-on experience in coffee making and operating commercial espresso machines.

Good knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation techniques.

Understanding of milk steaming, frothing, and basic latte art.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to maintain beverage quality and consistency during busy service hours.

Knowledge of café hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.

Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Additional Requirements for Senior Barista

Previous experience as a Senior Barista or an experienced Barista capable of handling shift responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, grinder calibration, and beverage quality control.

Ability to train and supervise junior baristas.

Good understanding of café operations, stock management, and service coordination.
