Tool Maker - Sheet Metal with 2-5 Yrs exp

Required Skills \& Competencies

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal tooling and press operations.
• Expertise in reading technical drawings and GD\&T.
• Experience with progressive and transfer dies preferred.
• Proficiency in precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC and wire EDM operations.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Interpret engineering drawings, tool designs, and technical specifications.
• Operate tool room machines such as lathe, milling, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, drilling, and wire cutting (EDM).
• Perform tool trials and make necessary corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and repair dies to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of tools and dies.
• Ensure tools meet quality standards and production requirements.
• Work closely with design, quality, and production teams.
• Maintain proper documentation of tool modifications and repairs.
• Follow safety standards and 5S practices in the tool room.
