Job Responsibilities – School Nurse

• Provide immediate first aid and basic nursing care to students and staff whenever required.
• Attend to students experiencing illness, injuries, or other health-related issues during school hours.
• Monitor students' health conditions and identify signs of medical emergencies.
• Maintain proper health records, treatment details, and medical history of students.
• Administer basic medication as per school policy and parental consent.
• Inform parents and school management about any health concerns or emergencies.
• Coordinate with hospitals or healthcare facilities for timely medical referrals.
• Maintain first-aid kits and ensure the availability of essential medical supplies.
• Promote health, hygiene, and safety awareness among students.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic nursing room.
• Assist in conducting health check-ups and vaccination programmes whenever required.
• Handle medical emergencies calmly and responsibly.
