Position Summary

Kheoni is looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician responsible for handling, maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning, cleanliness and hygiene of laboratory equipment, instruments and apparatus. The candidate should have knowledge of standard laboratory practices, sanitisation, sterilisation and basic equipment troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Apparatus Management

Operate, handle and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

Ensure equipment is in proper working condition.

Identify technical faults and perform basic troubleshooting.

Maintain equipment inventory, storage and maintenance records.

Cleaning & Sanitisation

Follow appropriate cleaning, disinfection, sanitisation and sterilisation procedures.

Ensure instruments and apparatus are properly cleaned before and after use.

Understand sanitising agents, disinfectants and their safe application.

Maintain a clean, hygienic and contamination-free laboratory environment.

Safety & Documentation

Follow laboratory safety protocols and SOPs.

Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste.

Maintain equipment maintenance, cleaning and sanitisation logs.

Monitor the availability of cleaning materials and laboratory consumables.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma / Certificate / Degree in Laboratory Technology or a relevant technical field.

Candidates from B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Pharm, D.Pharm and Pharmaceutical Sciences backgrounds may apply.

Required Skills

Practical knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments and apparatus.

Understanding of cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation processes.

Knowledge of sanitising solutions and safe chemical handling.

Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Good organizational, observation and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical college laboratories, research laboratories or manufacturing units will be preferred. The ideal candidate should be responsible, organized and capable of independently managing laboratory equipment, maintenance and hygiene standards.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
