Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook Continental dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, adhering to HACCP and FSSAI guidelines.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency with brand SOPs.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen brigade to ensure efficient KOT throughput during service.
  • Participate in inventory control and assist in managing par stock levels.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and follow instructions accurately.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution (IHM/IHM Pusa/Welcomgroup/ITC catering college).
  • Certifications in food safety (FSSAI/HACCP) will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a reputed hotel chain (Taj, Oberoi, ITC, Hyatt, etc.) is a plus.
