Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth food production, maintain quality and hygiene standards, manage kitchen staff, and control costs while delivering an excellent culinary experience to guests.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and timely food preparation
Supervise, train, and manage kitchen staff (chefs, cooks, helpers, stewards)
Plan staff duty rosters/shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
Maintain food quality, taste, presentation, and portion consistency as per standards
Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (FSSAI/HACCP)
Monitor and control kitchen inventory, stock levels, and raw material ordering
Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely, quality procurement of ingredients
Control food costs, minimize wastage, and manage kitchen budgets
Plan and update menus in coordination with the Head Chef/Management
Conduct regular quality checks and taste tests before service
Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and functioning of kitchen equipment
Handle guest feedback related to food quality and resolve issues promptly
Maintain records of stock, wastage, temperature logs, and audits
Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and labor regulations
Coordinate with F&B service team for smooth kitchen-to-table operations
Conduct performance reviews and skill training for kitchen staff
Candidate Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a kitchen, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/managerial role
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations
Proven experience in menu planning, costing, and inventory management
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
