Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Stores Executive with 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day stores operations, including material receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, documentation, and coordination with Purchase, Production, Quality, and other departments.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of inventory management practices, SAP, material documentation, and stores processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of materials as per defined procedures.

Verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders, invoices/challans, and other relevant documents.

Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and acceptance of incoming materials.

Ensure proper identification, labelling, binning, and storage of raw materials, components, consumables, and other items.

Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorised material requisitions.

Maintain accurate stock records and inventory transactions in ERP/system.

Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving, and non-moving materials.

Conduct cycle counts, periodic physical stock verification, and inventory reconciliation.

Investigate and report stock discrepancies and support necessary corrective actions.

Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.

Maintain proper documentation relating to GRN, material receipt, material issue, stock transfer, returns, rejection, and dispatch.

Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Planning, Quality, Accounts, and Logistics teams for smooth material flow.

Ensure proper handling and preservation of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.

Maintain 5S, safety, housekeeping, and organised storage practices within the stores area.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and providing required documentation.

Assist in improving stores processes to enhance inventory accuracy, space utilisation, and operational efficiency.

Qualification & Experience

Education
Diploma / Graduate in any relevant discipline.
Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in Stores / Inventory Management within a manufacturing company.

Hands-on experience in handling manufacturing materials, components, consumables, and inventory documentation.

Experience working with an SAP-based inventory system will be preferred.
