CMM Operator & Programmer

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or relevant engineering field.
• Experience in CMM operation and programming.
• Hands-on experience with CMM machines and inspection software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of GD\&T, engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and inspection methods.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Ability to develop, modify and execute CMM programs.
• Good understanding of 3D inspection and dimensional measurement.
• Ability to analyze CMM reports and identify dimensional deviations.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate CMM for dimensional and geometric inspection of manufactured components.
• Create, modify and execute CMM inspection programs as per engineering drawings and customer requirements.
• Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD\&T symbols, tolerances and specifications.
• Conduct dimensional checks for size, position, profile, flatness, concentricity, perpendicularity and other geometric characteristics.
• Prepare and maintain accurate CMM inspection reports.
• Perform CMM setup, component alignment and probe qualification/calibration.
• Identify deviations and coordinate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams for corrective action.
• Support NCR, Root Cause Analysis and CAPA activities.
• Maintain CMM equipment, probes, fixtures and inspection records.
• Ensure proper calibration and safe handling of measuring equipment.
