About this job

The Role

This is an entry-level, research-driven role, ideal for a recent graduate or postgraduate who wants to build a career in study abroad and admissions advisory. The focus is on university and program research, and building out organised student folders and resources that senior counsellors and students rely on. You'll work closely with senior counsellors, and take on more direct student contact as you grow into the role.

Key Responsibilities

Research universities, programs, admissions requirements, deadlines, and scholarships to build accurate, up-to-date reference material.

Prepare and maintain individual student folders, tracking documents, checklists, and timelines for each active case.

Compile curated resources for students and counsellors, including shortlists, program comparisons, and requirement summaries.

Assist in drafting and editing student essays, SOPs, LORs, and resumes under guidance.

Support senior counsellors during profile evaluations by pulling together background research and relevant data.

Coordinate application logistics: deadlines, document checklists, and portal submissions.

Assist in preparing materials for parent and student workshops and webinars.

Gradually take on more direct student interaction as skills and confidence develop.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).

Strong research skills and comfort working through detailed, fact-heavy material accurately.

Excellent written and spoken English, with strong attention to detail.

Highly organised, with the discipline to keep student folders and resources current and error-free.

Genuine interest in education, career counselling, and working with teenagers and young adults.

Prior internship experience in counselling, education, or student advisory is a strong plus, though not required.

A collaborative, coachable attitude. This role is designed to develop into a senior counselling position over time.
