Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our furniture store to new heights of success. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day functioning of the store, assisting in overseeing operations, supporting staff management, and contributing to sales performance. You will be expected to help implement strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, ensure store compliance with company policies, and maintain a visually appealing and organized retail environment. You will also support in liaising with Architects and Interior Designers to promote the brand, leading to increased sales. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail, particularly within the furniture industry, and exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective communication and relationship-building with both customers and employees. Key Responsibilities

Achieve store sales targets and track daily/weekly KPIs

Deliver personalized and high-quality customer service

Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations effectively

Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations

Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and conduct stock audits

Maintain store hygiene, visual standards, and VM guidelines

Support billing, cash handling, and daily reporting

Supervise, motivate, and manage team performance on the floor

Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage

Provide regular feedback and support performance evaluations

Ensure adherence to company SOPs and operational processes

Maintain strong product knowledge and stay updated on collections

Uphold brand image and deliver a consistent in-store experience

Coordinate with internal teams for stock, logistics, and customer orders

Requirements

2–5 years of retail experience (preferably furniture/home décor/luxury)

Strong sales, communication, and customer handling skills

Team management and leadership ability

Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management

Preferred Skills

Eye for design and aesthetics

Experience in premium/lifestyle retail

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
